Friends of the Library, Calcasieu is a group of parish residents dedicated to supporting the Calcasieu Parish Public Library—including all branches and Library To-Go—in enhancing services to the community.
We work to promote the use and enjoyment of the Library by sponsoring special programs, activities, and events throughout the year. Our efforts include providing supplemental funding and actively supporting the Library’s policies and initiatives.
Funding for Friends of the Library comes from memberships and contributions. We believe the Library is a vital hub for communication and lifelong learning, playing a key role in the quality and advancement of our community.
