To celebrate World Wildlife & Read Across America Day, we are going to get wild about reading. We will be learning about exciting & fascinating wildlife!
For our wild about reading storytime we will discuss some of our favorite species and explore cool habitats! We will be playing games like can you guess this animal, making lots of animal sounds, and try our hand at puppeteering.
In 2020, the Fontenot Memorial Branch, named in honor of the late Jimmy Lee Fontenot of Vinton was damaged during the two hurricanes. Prior to 2020, the former Capital One building on Loree St. was purchased with plans to open a new Vinton Branch.
On Oct. 24, 2022, the new branch opened! In addition to offering the same services as the old location, this branch offers our first-ever drive-thru and gaming PCs, as well as a study room, a conference room, and a community room.
