Amanda Roberts is a renowned musician who won the 2017 National Hammer Dulcimer Championship. The Hammered Dulcimer is a percussion instrument with 111 strings and is struck with handheld hammers. It is quite a treat to hear one in person! Amanda will be accompanied by percussionist Lady Chops (Elizabeth Vidos) of the Off-Broadway show STOMP, bringing you lively holiday music that is fun for the whole family!

The Central Branch is in South Lake Charles and is the library system's main branch.
The location houses both the Central Branch and the library's administrative offices.
This location offers various seating locations throughout the building, public computers, laptops that can be checked out and used in the library, self-checkout stations, faxing, scanning, and printing services, study rooms, and several large sized community rooms.
