This month, Vinton's Adult Book Club will enjoy refreshments and discuss the psychological mystery "The Crash" by Frieda Mcfadden. In this novel, Teagan is stranded in rural Maine during a blizzard, heavily pregnant with a broken ankle. Fortunately, a passing stranger rescues her and brings her to a warm cabin, but she soon senses something unsettling about the couple who offer her shelter.
Opened on October 24, 2022, this location continues the services of the former Fontenot Memorial Branch, named in honor of the late Jimmy Lee Fontenot of Vinton. It features a collection of popular materials, a drive-thru window, gaming PCs, a study room, conference room, and a community room.
