A Wild Goose Chase is an interactive live performance that combines shadow puppetry with poetry. Young people will be entertained, engaged, and inspired to read and write poetry on their own!
Recommended for ages four and above.
Matt Sandbank has toured nationally with his shadow puppetry programs since 2009. As a former teacher, Matt brings his love of literature and his knack for vivid
storytelling to each of his performances. Matt has performed at hundreds of schools and libraries, as well as festivals such as the 2015 San Antonio International Children's Puppetry
Festival, the 2019 Puppeteers of America National Festival in Minneapolis, MN, and the 2022 Ann Arbor Summer Festival.
Vinton Branch
Opened on October 24, 2022, this location carries forward the services of the former Fontenot Memorial Branch, named in honor of the late Jimmy Lee Fontenot of Vinton. The facility offers a popular materials collection, a drive‑thru window, gaming PCs, a study room, a conference room, and a community room.
