Join us at the Sam Houston Jones State Park for a captivating program featuring Peter Villegas! Peter will weave a tapestry of melodies on the Native American flute while sharing timeless stories of Indigenous cultures and their enduring legacy. Get ready for the past to feel vividly present!
Yaqui Apache and Mexican descent, Peter grew up in the Big Horn Basin area of Wyoming. He will be performing Native American music through the flute and drums. He currently lives in Louisiana and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the Apache Nation's culture and history. Close your eyes... can you hear the crackling of a fire, the winds of the evening, the scent of ancient lands...the past now present!
This event will take place at Sam Houston Jones State Park located at 107 Sutherland Rd., Lake Charles, LA. 70611. The performance will be located between the pavilion and the playground.
