Print and Digital Resources: Books, periodicals, microfilm, compiled family records, and access to subscription databases.
Vital Records Indexes: Obituary notices from local newspapers, as well as selected marriage and birth records.
Geographic Coverage: Records from most U.S. states, with a strong emphasis on Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and other states along the Mississippi River. We also feature resources related to Canada and Acadia.
Special Collections: Limited materials on British genealogy and lineage books from patriotic organizations.
Historical Records: Cemetery and church records, parish courthouse documents, military records, compiled family histories, parish histories, and land records.
Research Guides: How-to books and tips for both novice and experienced genealogists, including titles like Tips for Tracing Your Family Tree by Expert Genealogist, William Forsyth.
