Meg Medina is an award-winning New York Times best-selling author who writes picture books, as well as middle-grade and young adult fiction. Don't miss this chance to meet her at Central Library!

Meg Medina is the 2023-2024 National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. We are honored that she will visit Central Library as the first of four sites in 2023! Ambassador Medina's platform is Cuentame! Let's Talk Books!

"I am first generation Cuban American. I grew up in Queens, New York, with my mother and sister. We spoke both Spanish and English at home, although I spoke mostly Spanish to my other relatives," says Medina. Her growing list of awards includes a Newbery Award for Merci Suarez Changes Gears, part of the Suarez family trilogy. Books will be available for purchase and signing by Ambassador Medina.

Light refreshments.
